Keep you hair & scalp hydrated

By Nirja Jaiswal | Hair Care Blog , Tuesday Tip

Hey FairFaxFans,

How’s everybody enjoying winter so far? Tuesday is here! Hope your week’s off to a good start. Many of you have been waiting for the weekend to relax and enjoy it. Just a few more days to Friday, so keep trudging on. But now it’s time for the next installment of our weekly series Tuesday Tips. Read on to know what this week’s valuable hair care tip is!

Do you know your scalp is drier and itchier than ever during the winter months because of the lack of moisture in the air? And this leads to several hair issues from dull, dry, damaged hair to dandruff, hair fall & itchy scalp. So, how do you take care of your hair, minimize these harsh winter effects and prevent damage? Worry not! This hair care tip helps you to keep your hair and scalp moisturized & healthy this winter.

You are less likely to drink water during cold weather. A major reason for the lower level of moisture is that you tend to stop drinking as much water in winter months. You don’t feel thirsty & you don’t drink enough water. Remember, just because you’re not thirsty doesn’t mean that your body is hydrated.

If you’re dehydrated on the inside, it will show on the outside too so make sure you drink plenty of water. Drinking enough water is the best way to keep your hair and scalp hydrated in this dry weather. Every one of you used to drink tea or coffee; leads to a lower intake of water. So, instead of going for a second cup of tea/coffee have a glass of warm water. It is not mandatory to stay hydrated by drinking only water; you can drink a bowlful of hot soup. The Soup contains a lot of water and so it can help you stay hydrated. Add seasonal veggies like spinach, carrots, and beans to the mix for a nutrition boost.

Know reasons why you should keep changing your hair parting

By Nirja Jaiswal | Hair Care Blog , Tuesday Tip

Hello FairFaxFans,
͏
Monday is finally gone, Tuesday is here! Hope you all have a fantastic day. Today, we have brought something for you to get your day off to the best start possible. So, don’t miss out on the next installment of our weekly series Tuesday Tips. Read on to know what this week’s valuable hair care tip is!

Your hair is one of your most valuable accessories! It can completely change your appearance. It doesn’t matter what kind of hair you have, this hair care tips not only help you to get the hair you want but also manage your hair and lead to better hair days.

Most of us like to style our hair in the same way, whether it’s out of habit or simply because it’s easier to style it that way each day. But, do you know wearing the same parting may not be good for your hair. We are going to tell you how the same parting damages your hair, and how often you should change the parting of your hair.

When your hair has been parted the same way for a long time, the tension on the hair at the base of your part may cause the hair follicles to break easily, the width of your part & scalp is more noticeable as compared to the rest of the head. It makes your hair look limp & flat. Changing the parting of your hair does not only change up your look, but it’s also good for your hairs. You need to change your parting regularly, at least once in every 3-4 days. If you are dealing with weak, flat, thin hair, changing your parting can give you a lot of volume, texture & bounce.

Solutions for static, frizzy hair this Winter Season

By Nirja Jaiswal | Hair Care Blog , Tuesday Tip

Hello FairFaxFans,

You must have had a busy day on Monday. Smile coz It’s Tuesday!! How’s Tuesday treating you so far? It’s time to kick-start your week and shake off the Monday blues with the next installment of our weekly series Tuesday Tips. Read on to know what this week’s valuable haircare tip is!

Your hair needs a lot of tender loving care in winter season as hair is more vulnerable to damage because of changes in the environment, loss of moisture, exposure to dry air and not giving due importance to a haircare regimen. Whatever the texture and type of hair you have, this winter hair care tips will work well for a shiny, healthy hair all winter long!

Cold, wet winter weather can take its toll on your hair and the most effective way to protect your hair is to cover your head with a hat or scarf. Undoubtedly, knit/woolen hats are incredibly cute and protect your hair & scalp from dryness in the cold winter. While it protects your hair, regular wearing it can also lead to damaged hair, hair breakage, split ends, itchy scalp, and loss of moisture from hair. Hence, wear a silk or satin scarf under your wool hat to keep your hair from having direct contact with the wool which prevent hair breakage. Make sure that it’s not too tight, as this will restrict the circulation in your scalp. Limit how often you wear a hat during the day; this will keep your hair style intact & also protect hair from damage.

Plucking gray hair from your scalp could not stop further hair graying but can change the texture of the hair, causing new gray hair to grow in thin or frizzy. A follicle of our scalp give birth to a single hair, and if you take out it from the scalp, then there is no chance to grow one or more in the same place and possibly it lead to the formation of bald patches. It’s no secret that maintaining long, shiny, strong and beautiful hair requires good care. But, one of the most frustrating things about having long hair other than it taking long time to dry is to constantly deal with knots & tangles. Not only it’s time-consuming but can also be quite painful and damaging. If you can relate, then this haircare tips is for you.

Nowadays women usually sleep with open hair. The reason differs from person to person. Some of you feel that you might look prettier sleeping in open hair while some of you feel too exhausted & clumsy to tie hair after a tiresome day. Few even feel discomfort sleeping with tied hair. But leaving hair untied while sleeping leads to tangled hair easily that causes hair fall. So it is suggested to tie your hair before going to bed. Tying can be anything – from a cute loose braid to a simple loose bun. Always use a scrunchies rather than an elastic bands. Be sure not to tie it too tight, as this can also cause breakage at your ends. Braids will pretty up your look with a comfy sleep…So get tying!

Never apply a conditioner on your scalp

By Nirja Jaiswal | Hair Care Blog , Tuesday Tip

Hello Pretty Ladies,

The festive mood is not over yet! How has your day been going so far? It’s Tuesday, that also means it’s time for the next installment of our weekly series Tuesday Tips. Be ready to know what this week’s valuable hair care tip is!

No matter the texture, color or style, everyone wants hair that looks like it has been groomed, and perfected by salons on a daily basis, right? But, it’s even easier to get healthier, happier and more manageable hair with our valuable hair care tips. Especially, with today’s tip that is simple but powerful, which will leave your hair looking healthy, manageable & stylish.

Do you know a hair wash is so much more than just cleaning your hair, it’s like therapy for all of us? It seems almost impossible to think that there are right and wrong ways of doing it as the wrong way of washing & conditioning of hair will damage your hair. Avoid using shampoo directly on your scalp, instead mix it with some water. It’s the scalp that needs the most attention while shampooing because the roots are often the oiliest. Rinse out the shampoo with lukewarm/cold water.

Cleaning your hair is necessary before conditioning. Conditioner helps to smoothens and detangling the hair, which helps to reduce breakage & split ends. Remember never to apply a conditioner on your scalp, as it will make the roots oilier than they naturally are. It’s your hair that needs the hydration and therefore, should be conditioned from the mid until the ends of your hair. Apply the suitable conditioner at the ends.  Leave it for a min and wash off with lukewarm/cold water.

Winter Hair Care Tips for Healthy Hair & Scalp

By Nirja Jaiswal | Hair Care Blog , Tuesday Tip

Hello Gorgeous,

How are you doing this Tuesday? We hope you are making the most of the pleasant weather, especially in the mornings & evenings. But do you know that cold & dry weather can create some problems for your hair? While that is true, there is no real cause for worry. Just follow the Tuesday Tips series on our Instagram, where we post weekly Hair Care Tips that can help you get your hair winter ready!

We all want our hair to look amazing in all seasons. Summer might be over, Winter’s almost here. And it brings a completely new set of problems for you to deal with: hair breakage, split ends, frizziness & hair fall. But with the right hair care tips, you can keep your hair healthy & happy through the winter season.

We know how much you love going out with your hair left untied. But this winter, try to keep your hair tied up, especially when you go out in the cold. Cold breeze steals moisture from your hair & scalp, which not only makes your hair look dry, dull & lifeless, but also leads to dandruff. Instead of leaving your hair open, go for braids or ponytails. This will help in preventing hair fall, hair breakage, frizziness & further drying.

Brush your hair slowly & gently.

By Nirja Jaiswal | Hair Care Blog , Tuesday Tip

Hello Lovelies,

Tuesday is here! How’s it going & what are you up to today? We hope you’re ready for the next installment of our weekly series Tuesday Tips ‘cos it is here. Read on to know what this week’s valuable haircare tip is!

All of us love beautiful, shiny & healthy hair. Hair looks more beautiful with the right care & taking care of hair is easy with our valuable haircare tips. Especially, today’s tip will leave your hair looking healthy, manageable & stylish.

Brushing or combing hair is a daily routine for all of us. But this is one activity that should be done with utmost care. Be gentle with your hair & tone down on that aggressive or jerky hand movement. A vigorous combing habit leads to hair damage & increased hair fall. So brush your hair slowly & gently, starting from the bottom half (by holding the middle part) to remove knots from the tips & to avoid the risk of split ends & breakage. Separating your hair into sections & brushing it layer by layer is also recommended. Combing will be easy, harmless & your hair will look a lot better!
