By Nirja Jaiswal | Hair Care Blog , Saturday Style

Hey FairFaxFans,

Knock Knock who’s there??? It’s Saturday, Satur-Yeah! The weekend is finally here.

And it is time for our weekly series:Saturday Style. As you know, every week on Saturday, FairFax post one easy yet stunning hair-style that you can easily manage at home.

Are you stuck in a rut with your hair, repeating the same boring hairstyle over & over again? We know that the Top-knot isn’t just a classic style; it’s also perfect for second- or third-day hair. But sometimes even the most perfectly executed Top-knot can look not-so-impressive. Switch your typical bun with a cool upside down reverse french braid!

Creating this chic and trendy up-do is a no-brainer. All you need is a couple of hair elastics, a few hair clips, & some bobby pins.

Follow these steps to achieve this look:

Step 1 – Grab a triangle-shaped section from the crown area of your head & clip it away (for use in step 6).
.
Step 2 – Flip your hair (head upside down) and brush all the hair downwards.

Step 3 – Separate a small section of hair at the nape of the neck and divide it into three sections – these will form the braid.

Step 4 – To create a french braid take a bit of hair from the left side (to add to the section already created) & cross it over the middle section.

Step 5 – Now take some hair, combine them with the right section, cross it over the middle section and continue.

Step 6 – Braid it all the way through. Once you’ve reached the crown area of your head, take the hair that’s been clipped at the top (in step 1) and add it to the braid.

Step 7 – Turn your braid into a messy bun and tie the braid and secure all the hair with hair elastic and few bobby pins.

Step 8 – Finish off your hairstyle with a bit of hairspray for hold & support (optional). That’s it — you’re done!

The upside down braid bun is stunning and the perfect way to dress up with any outfit or rock this versatile hairstyle in either a casual or formal way.
